Honestly I don’t know why I’m posting this free verse poem. Maybe God will use it for His glory. Wrote this in like 7 minutes maybe. But this ended up popping up in my head. So I wrote it down and part of me felt like I needed to post it. So that’s what I’m doing. Let the Lord’s will be done and if I posted it out of selfish intent let the Lord convict me. It also seems like the poem isn’t finished, but really because it’s a poem on the supernatural and the war being already won through the bloodshed of Jesus on the cross and the Resurrection it is a finished poem in that sense. Jesus will return from the sky as mentioned in Revelation, Matthew 24 and other places in Scripture. So that is why we wait for it all to be fulfilled because we still have this hope of Jesus coming to call His bride (believers in Christ) home (living eternally with the Lord).

Heaven and Earth collide.

There’s a war unseen.

Where the supernatural play.

Angels and demons fight.

One side wants death and destruction.

One side wants family and salvation.

One side torments while the other comforts.

One side destroys while the other protects.

Both playing different roles.

One for a false god.

The other for the True God.

There’s a battle going on.

But the war has already been won through the cross.

Yet many are blind.

The blind are leading the blind.

So the battle continues.

Until all is fulfilled.

  1. Ohhhhh, this is good. Thank you for being vulnerable and posting your poetry. I definitely think it brings glory to God!

  2. I like this Michael. It says a lot in such a short amount of space. I really like how you said it is unfinished yet it is finished because Jesus’ work on the cross is finished. Well done!
