After escaping the clutches of COVID that most of my squad ended up getting on our first month on the field I am now sick. Not from COVID, but sick in general. It’s probably because of doing ministry in the cafes in the village where everyone is smoking. With some of the men smoking a cigarette every 3-5 minutes it seems. And probably because of being at a high elevation that I’ve never lived at before. I ended up getting away from all the cigarette smoke and now I’m in the midst of it all to build relationships with people here and to share the Gospel with them.

I’m also possibly sick because my team has been doing prayer all night taking shifts to spend an hour (or one lucky person getting 2 hours) to pray over all the people here in Restelicë. We’ve been praying that everyone here will receive visions and dreams of Jesus. As He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. With that I also recently got done reading the revised and updated version of Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Which I’ll be leaving the book behind in the village when we head to our next location. In hopes it may bring someone here to start asking questions. I got a lot out of the book and slowly realized that’s exactly what my squad is doing. We are partaking in a crazy love for Christ by going to the nations to share the Gospel with others. Even when we are sick without COVID we still push through to show people who Christ is without getting other people here sick.

  1. Way to keep pushing yourself, but make sure you also take time to rest as that is essential and it’s not good to try to pour out from an empty cup. Proud of you nephew.

  2. So sorry you are sick Michael. I love that you all are praying at night for the people in the village to receive revelation of their need for Jesus and who he is. Try to take care of yourself and thank you for pushing yourself!
