Hello everyone! For those who don’t know I’d like to tell you what my role on the field looks like as a health coordinator on the mission field.

Basically everyone has a role within their team and they are in charge of certain things. Treasurer makes sure everything stays within the budget. Fundraiser coordinator makes sure to check on those who are still fundraising (like myself) to make sure they are actively fundraising. Worship and prayer coordinators go hand in hand with running worship for debriefs, prayer and helping us have a more broken down list of what to be praying for. Team leader and logistics team of course they are the ones that run point and inform the squad where our next country will be at when it gets closer to that time so everyone can stay focused on serving in the country they are already in. They also help lead the squad/teams and help manage where we will be possibly lodging and making sure we find transportation to and from if needed. They keep in contact with leadership back in the states to know everything that needs to be known.

Within my role I am the health coordinator, so I am in charge of helping those on my team who may end up having an allergic reaction and sprained ankle or anything possibly worse to fill out the insurance. To make sure they fill out the incident report online and I’m also in charge of when it comes to all things covid related. I have to research what tests we may need if any to get into the next country. Find out the prices for the tests and schedule appointments if appointments are required to get tested for the glorious negative tests of covid. Luckily, to get from Albania to Kosovo, finding the information for that was super easy as my team was more located in a touristy area and we didn’t need to book any appointments. This time around is looking a bit harder as we will most likely be in a village soon and thus would have to travel to get the covid tests done to then be able to travel into the next country. All of which I might also not have any wifi when I’m there.

One response to “Logistical Roles”

  1. Thank you Michael for serving in this role. Seems like it would be silly for folks to all be looking up this info when there could be one expert! Appreciate you!
