The doors close and we travel down the floors. There’s a sudden bump or drop as we make it to the first floor. Calling those we just had dinner with for help. 22 minutes is the experience. 22 minutes of bonding as a team. With one needing prayer, we pray. Knowing everything is in the Lord’s hands we give Him praise as we sing out worship songs. This was my experience with being trapped in an elevator. I always was curious on what it would be like if I was trapped in an elevator. I even said to my team I can cross this off my bucket list. Of course it never really was on my bucket list, but because it was something I just experienced I can now say that it has happened to me if anyone wanted to know an interesting story. Now I know what it’s like to be stuck in an elevator. It was beautiful to see how we all came together as a team to pray for one of our teammates and worship the Lord together. It was a sweet bonding experience after having delicious Armenian food with new friends from the church we are partnered with as a team. It showed that no matter what happens we will be there for one another. It was a beautiful display of living out our faith. A beautiful display of living Christ-like. Which was very fitting to see my team display this; I word it like this because the church we are partnered with resembles more of what the church in Acts looks like than any other church I’ve been to and we have slowly been walking that out as a team. How I’ve seen it look more like the church in Acts might be told in another blog in the future.
Wow! What an experience! Can’t wait to hear more!
Oh this is good, Michael. God knows what needs to be on our bucket list better than what we do. I’m glad you took this “dropportunity” to speak Life into one another. Elevators are the best! Be prepared to hear Darla’s talk on elevator speeches when people ask what you’ve been up to. It is the best and you’ll hear it in Georgia, the state. Blessings my brother!
